The Melbourne Love Vintage Show opens today at the Royal Exhibition Building – the perfect venue for a vintage event. Much of the entertainment has a 1920’s feel, in celebration of the release of The Great Gatsby in Australia at the end of this month.

You can get in the Gatsby groove with our Roaring Twenties cocktail recipes and learn some of the slang of the day… do you know what a ‘Flat Tyre’ means? Let us know your favourite old-time slang expression and the best (funniest!) will win two tickets to see The Great Gatsby.

In last month’s blog, we asked for your best ‘age-old’ beauty advice, and the response was fabulous! Congratulations to the winner, who will receive the All About Vintage DVD. Check out all the tips here – there are many wonderful ideas that have been passed down through families and are still being used today.
